Subject: New ARES/RACES Volunteer Emergency Communicator Registration Form

A new South Carolina Volunteer Emergency Communicator Registration Form was sent to all SC County Emergency Management Directors.
The three PDF copies along with a version in WORD is attached to this message.
The new form is designed for a volunteer who wants to register in
both ARES and RACES.
It can also be used to register in one or the other. Please fill out one of the new forms. A copy of the first page for ARES registration of the form goes to the county EC.
The entire three page completed original form goes to the county Emergency Manager. That is for RACES registration. The
county Emergency Managers have been given instructions on how to
process the form. Also, the processing instructions are printed on the form.
We need to fill out the forms to update the volunteer information and
to issue new RACES identification cards.
